Just to make sure, I attach 2 screenshots showing the 2 steps of the Zap. Would you have any idea how to make sure the Zap loops to account for multiple files in the Airtable attachment field? I also tried appending the Loop ID in the file name, but still no looping (as shown in attached screenshot). However, I’m getting only file per Airtable record, even if the record has multiple file attachments in the Attachment field. Re: bypassing document services, I think that JeffHaskin was referring to a service like Google or Documint where a document would be createddirectly or via a templatebefore exporting as a PDF file. So I edited the Zap to include filename (of name of person submitting Airtable form) and the Airtable Record ID, and added the extension of JPG, and now yes, some of the files are passing through to Google Drive. I now call CloudConvert’s API from an Airtable automation and save the resulting PDF directly to an attachment field. However, on the Google Drive folder, I just got abstract files with long names, probably the url. With Zapier, you can do more than just connect your apps - you can automate entire processes from beginning to end Check out the following list of triggers and actions you can use with Airtable, Amazon S3, and Code by Zapier. Regardless, when running the Zap, I get message that “Create Loop From Line Items” was successful, and Google Drive “Upload File” was successful. Do even more with Airtable + Amazon S3 + Code by Zapier. Anyone with similar experience, maybe a solution Thanks ahead, have a nice day. One attachment is OK, but when it is more then one, it can not be transfered. Works perfectly, until comes attachment in the email. Here are some of the business-critical workflows that people automate with Zapier. With Zapier, you can integrate everything from basic data entry to end-to-end processes. I just tried this about a dozen times, but keep getting the “This URL has expired” when testing in Zapier. Hi all I made a zap between Outlook and Airtable, forwarding emails. Connect Airtable and Dropbox to integrate crucial parts of your business. Please remember that this is a public forum and to remove any sensitive information prior to posting. With the files selected, you can download them all at once. This post has been edited by a moderator to remove personal information. Select many files at once by shift-clicking. Finally, navigate to the “Recent” section in your Google Drive. Depending on your Zapier plan, it may take as long as fifteen minutes for this to happen. As these records enter the Export View, Zapier will send their attachments to Google Drive. If it is, check the checkbox field for all the records with attachments that you’d like to export to Google Drive. The file(s) in the attachment field in Export View should now be in your Google Drive. If you like, the File Name can be pulled from the table’s primary field.Īfter testing, save the Zap and turn it on. In this case, since the attachment field is named Attachments, it’s “Attachments URL” Set up template: It’s possible to precisely specify where the files are uploaded to in Google Drive. For the next (action) step, set up the following:Ĭhoose Account: Select your Google Drive account. For the Trigger Step, select the following:Īccount: Here you’ll need to provide your API key (from /account) to grant Zapier access to your Airtable Account. (If you’re new to Zapier, I’d recommend taking a look at this guide.) Set a new record entering the export view as the trigger for the zap. Likewise, only the one checked record should be visible. Then, configure a filter in this view that only shows records where the checkbox field is checked. Name this view “Exports.” In this view, create a new checkbox field and check off just a single record that has an attachment. If you decide to use this zap, first create a new grid view on the table with the attachments you’d like to export. Moving attachments via the zap setup suggested below will result in 1 task per attachment exported, so I’d recommend keeping that in mind as you consider whether or not this is the right solution for you. As a note, Zapier has some limits around how many tasks you can run per month, depending on what pricing plan you use (they have both free and paid plans). Zap updates one field only the Contracts field by uploading the PDF. Now, when I add a file to the Attachment field, go and change the file in Google docs, it’s not ‘updated’ in Airtable. Essentially I want to be able to link to files stored on Google Doc in the Attachments field on Airtable, rather than upload them. Still, you can set up a Zapier integration that moves all files in an attachment field to Google Drive, where it’s easy to bulk-download files. :bomb: Airtable is dropping public url support for attachment in an upcoming update that will take place in Nov 2022. Hi, I’m a bit confused and was wondering whether someone can help me. Echoing other folks on this thread – Airtable doesn’t currently support bulk download of attachments.
